Reading Resources

I’m so passionate about the impact of reading for children, from birth to young adult (and beyond)! Throughout the course of my research, I have collected the following resources suitable for teachers, providers, parents, and readers. Click the links below for reading-related information, programs, and tools.

Between the Lions: A special collection of video clips from the popular PBS television series that “provides a set of early Reading/Language Arts resources, organized by early elementary and preschool literacy skills.”

Oxford Owl: “A library of activities and resources for every stage of the learning journey, curated by the team at Oxford University Press… inspiration to help your little ones learn, grow and flourish at home, in the classroom and beyond.”

Reach Out and Read: “Reach Out and Read’s national network of clinicians delivers vital information about the importance of reading at routine pediatric checkups. This means we have unmatched access to families during the years from birth to age three - a period of critical brain development.”

Scholastic Parents: Book lists, success guides, activities and printable, & book clubs.

Smithsonian: Stuff for Kids and Stuff for Teachers.
